Announcing mobile optimization and social segmentation

By , March 12, 2012

On the heels of Shoutlet’s announcement about the new features of Shoutlet 5.0, today we’re releasing new enhancements to the platform in two key areas: mobile optimization and social segmentation. These “Smart Content Publishing” updates are designed to give brands the ability to not only optimize content for each individual in any location, but also personalize that experience based on social data.

This announcement coincides with SXSW Interactive, where the influence of mobile is evident. Thousands in Austin are constantly connected via their smartphones and tablets, as are a rising number of people around the world.  Our mobile optimization update makes it possible for customers, viewing content created with Shoutlet, to have a seamless user experience, no matter which device they are on. Facebook tabs, web pages, and Shoutlet web apps are properly displayed. Shoutlet automatically detects users’ mobile platforms and serves the right content to them for the best viewing experience.

Seamless experiences are essential for marketers, who are vying to secure attention in social media. The slightest hiccup in user experience can derail the impact brands are attempting to make on its customers.

Just as Shoutlet recognizes the mobile devices customers are using, our new social segmentation tools automatically deciphers the unique data that Shoutlet’s Social CRM gathers about each person connected to your brand in the social space. It then uses it to serve targeted content to each customer. Different versions of Facebook tabs, web page designs, and Shoutlet web apps can be can be created and served to users based on demographic information and location, as well as interests. The result is pinpointed content that is relevant for each user.
